Museum Plaque and Classic Series Show Board Care - From opening the package to keeping it looking like new:
Auction Show Boards and Posters:
These boards posters are intended for indoor use since there is no protective coating on the surface. If you get something wet on the surface very carefully try to blot it up, however, it will probably leave a stain on the print. If it is just dust, you can lightly dust it off with a soft towel. Never use any liquids or cleaners.

Tips on Hanging your Showboards on a wall:
Notes On Colors and Surface Textures: Please be aware of these before ordering your board to ensure your satisfaction.
1. The colors will appear slightly different between the Museum plaque boards and the Classic Series boards and Posters due to the different laminations and textures applied to the surface. If you order both boards, you will see these differences. The same is true for the unfinished/unlaminated photographs and posters.
2. If you look at the showboards from different angles, you may see what appears to be hazy areas/spots (darker spots or specs or streaks on lighter colored backgrounds or lighter spots/streaks on darker backgrounds) or a texture. This is due to the UV protection in the laminate (this may not always be noticeable). This is not a defect and is due to how different colors and shadowing effects reflect light through the UV coating. Boards may also show small specs on lighter colored backgrounds. This is expected and not a defect and is a result of lamination. These often but not always fade in time. Designs with reflection effects may also show areas where the reflections blend down more into the design.
3. With the classic series boards, dark colors (including black, brown, blues, red, and others) may also show the lamination press marks (sometimes shiny streaks) when held at different angles. This can not be avoided when pressing the materials together and this is not a defect. We do use very high quality sintra for these boards, however, the board surface is not always perfectly smooth. As a result of this, there could be a few small pinhead size bumps on the boards under the surface artwork that are only detectable looking at the board from angles.
4. We use the higest quality mounting boards, however, none are 100% perfectly smooth. On the Classic boards, you may see a few small pinhead size bumps that are more evident in dark areas. You typically have to look at the board from a a slight angle to notice them. This is not a defect and is part of normal production.
5. Computer Monitors: Different computer monitors may display colors differently. We use all of the industry calibration methods to ensure that your final pictures are the same as what you emailed us. When you view any drafts or prints, your computer display may be different than your final print. Typically this difference is negligible.
6. Note that the protective nature of the UV coating may slightly alter some colors when viewed under different lighting. Some light background colors, such as white and yellow, may appear to have darker areas. As true with all matte finishes light is reflected/absorbed differently so some surface shine is reduced.
Show Board Construction
Indoor Museum Plaque Show Boards:
The manufacturer we use ARTiPLAQ, uses a technique that permanently bonds our artwork to a custom-cut, hard, smooth, stable substrate so it will never wrinkle, buckle or warp. They over-laminate the picture with a matte-finish, protective film containing UV filters and absorbers protect the board from harmful UV rays, and from oxygen, moisture and dirt that would otherwise destroy your board over time. There is also keyhole slot in the back for wall mounting and a nice beveled edge to make it stand out. Hang it on a wall or displayed on an easel for that added museum look. The boards are approximately 3/8" thick and weigh 7 pounds. For more information go to http://www.artiplaq.com
Classic Series (Original and Gold) Show Boards:
This is the same high quality artwork used on our museum plaques, except printed on photo vinyl and mounted on Sintra (a rigid, light weight Plexiglas type board) with a protective UV low gloss satin finish laminated surface. The UV laminate filters and absorbers protect the board from harmful UV rays, and from oxygen, moisture and dirt that would otherwise destroy your board over time.
Auction Show Boards:
This is the same high quality artwork used on our other boards and posters, except printed on very high quality photo paper and mounted on foamboard. There is no laminate protection on the surface, so it must not get wet, or anything spilled on it. These boards are intended for short term use at events such as trade shows and auctions.
Auction Showboards : Please be aware of these before ordering your board to ensure your satisfaction.
1. Our Auction showboards are an economical version of our more expensive boards. The auction boards have the same high quality designs, however they are mounted on foam board.
2. We do use very high quality foam board, however, none are 100% perfectly smooth. As a result of this, there could be a few minor bumps on the boards under the surface artwork. This is not a defect and will not detract from the sign, and you typically have to look at the board from a a slight angle to notice them.
